These
sets of maps were developed before the CPA and had partly been used
during the talks. They are at the scale of 1:500,000. These maps
and geodatabase were prepared by the Centre for Development and
Environment (CDE) of the Universtiy of Berne, Switzerland.The maps
have been produced as a technical contribution to support the different
peace processes, and to supplement the increased humanitarian, peace-keeping
and reconstruction efforts by the international community in the

These
3 sets of maps were used on various negotiations during the peace
talks and during the recently concluded Abyei Boundary Commission's
work. The maps are at the scale of 1:250,000.
